Six months. I know right.
Hey. So. I'm back at my hometown now. And this time, I'm back for a while. A long, long while. Six months. I don't know what I'll do in this span of time. But so far I've only been wasting my days lazing around, reading, and maybe drawing a bit. I hope I'll find something much more productive sooner. Speaking of drawing, I experienced with watercolour today. Mixing colour is definitely not easy. Seriously. Especially if the colour I bought was sort of dubious. I mean really? The colour seem red in the form of cake, but when water comes...voila you got dark magenta. I was not happy with that. Anyhow, I sort of shrugged it off because I was merely experimenting and learning how to control the flow of the water (lol I sounded like I was waterbending). I found out that I needed to be patient in waiting for the first layer of paint to dry before adding anything on top of it. Hahaha, no shit. Common knowledge. It was pretty messy. Mixing colour for skin tone is definitely pain in the ass. Mostly I get some sort of orange-ish or yellowish kind of skintone. (Yellowish is actually okay for asian skin so yeah.) I know the colour I use usually is very desaturated, is between the colour red and orange (in the colour circle), and is very bright. The closest I get is when I mix some sort of neon pink (yes I know), orange and white. Ah, I'll practice more. Oh yeah I also doodled something. I know what you're thinking. 'Not again... ANOTHER Rise of the Guardians fanart?' Oh heck yes it is. What, don't tell me you didn't see that coming. I mentioned about totally going to watch the movie before okay. If you know what I mean. And yes, everybody and their grandmothers have at least drawn one fanart of this. You can't blame any of us. It is a great story. I got teary-eyed watching this. I don't know. It reminded of the goodness in believing, the child in me was shaken awake for a little while. It ensured me that she hasn't died. So I'm very happy about it. I'm planning to re-watch this if I have the opportunity. Yeah layer 1 is the fail version. I hate the colour scheme on it but I spent way too much of my time on it so I didn't delete it. I guess that's all I can say about my recent days. |
