My adventures so far
Hey, how's everything going? I'm doing good, if you're wondering. I've been doing so many things lately. It was really fun. :) For starters, I went to two concerts: One Night of Queen on 24th of June and Jason Mraz on 29th of June. Yep, I know it's I won't really say that 'One Night of Queen' gave me a feeling of a concert simply because we're sitting down in a big air-conditioned hall. Moreover, it's Queen, we're talking about, I don't think their songs are suitable to be enjoyed whilst sitting down? Hmm. Anyway, there are lots of middle-aged people bringing their children in the concert, I suppose they're feeling quite nostalgic. Jason Mraz's on the other hand was an open-air concert. There are thousands of people there (at least I got the feeling that there are thousands). My friends and I squeezed in to the middle of the sea of people, which was fun at first but torturous at the end. We waited for about an hour before the concert began since we got there at six whilst the concert was at seven. At the beginning of the concert, or at least the first half of the concert, I was really enjoying myself. I regretted that I didn't 'review' his songs before I went to the concert as I wasn't that big of a fan of his and thus there are many of his songs that I can't sing well. I felt that it was getting really stuffy as the time went by and finally when he was about to duet with a female singer for the song 'Lucky' I figured if I had stayed longer I'd puke. And so, with hundreds of 'excuse me's and 'sorry's muttered, I found my way out and breathed in the much desired fresh air. I was an idiot for forgetting that I had never been good with the crowd (whether having to deal with the crowd or being in the midst of the crowd). So I enjoyed 5 of his last songs by sitting on the grassy field enjoying my effing-expensive mineral water ($8). He was so good live, who am I kidding, he was terrific live, I thought I was listening to the album version of his songs. His 'Mr. Curiosity' was really beautiful. I still get goosebumps :) You and I both, so nostalgic :D I loved his change of lyrics. -- Afterwards, I went to Science Centre with Elaine on the 11th of July. It was really really fun. We couldn't finish exploring the whole science centre although we arrived at 11am and was ushered out at 6pm. Hahaha, maybe we lingered too much on weird things. We didn't get to explore the Mathematics' section of the exhibition. And we spent only $11 for the ticket (including a temporary exhibition 'Bio-rhythm'), it was worth it, totally. Two days ago I went to Harry Potter's and Andy Warhol's exhibition. Harry Potter's very short, however, whilst Andy Warhol's quite satisfactorily long. I enjoyed both of the exhibitions, although I got a bit mad during Harry Potter's. You see, so I stepped out of the exhibition, only like two or three steps under five minutes but I need to get inside to find my friend who apparently hadn't come out, and there's this woman, supervisor or something like that, immediately rushed out (like almost running) towards me and said "I'm sorry Ma'am, no re-entry". I don't know why I got so pissed off at the woman that I almost spat out "Fuck you" at her. Lol, me and my emotion. So that's all for my adventure. I would include one more post today. I think. |
